Özet
Bu yayın, Türkiye'nin Cumhuriyet dönemi mimarisine dair güncel perspektifleri üç ana başlık altında ele almaktadır. İlk bölümde, engelli erişilebilirliği, Konya Taş Binası örneğinde değerlendirilmektedir. Dünya sağlık verileri ışığında engelli insanların sayısına vurgu yapılarak, engellilere erişim için yasal düzenlemeler ve mimari standartlar incelenmiş; Konya Taş Binası'nın mevcut restorasyonundaki erişilebilirlik kriterleri ölçüt alınarak bina fiziki koşulları analiz edilmiştir. İkinci bölüm, Ankara'daki üç müze (Etnografya Müzesi, Resim ve Heykel Müzesi ile PTT Pul Müzesi) için mekan sentaksı analizi sunmaktadır. Plan şemaları üzerinden yapılan entegrasyon, derinlik ve bağlantı değerlendirmeleriyle, ziyaretçi hareketliliğini ve mekansal etkileşim analiz edilmiştir. Son bölümde ise, Sırrı Bilen'in tasarladığı Bekir Bey Evi ve diğer önemli eserleriyle birlikte, erken Cumhuriyet dönemi modern Türk mimarlığı tartışılmaktadır. Bilen'in eğitimi, meslek hayatı ve mimari üretimleri ayrıntılı şekilde sunulur. Yayın, mimari yenilikler, tarihsel bağlam ve ulusal kimlik bağlamında modern mimarlığın gelişimini kapsamlı biçimde ele almaktadır.
This publication examines current perspectives on architecture from the Turkish Republican Period through three main studies. The first chapter addresses disability accessibility in restoration projects, focusing on the Konya Taş Building. It reviews global and national disability statistics and legal frameworks for accessibility, then analyzes the building's restoration against accessibility criteria such as entrance suitability, horizontal and vertical movement, and toilet design. The second chapter presents a space syntax analysis of three museums in Ankara—the Ethnography Museum, Painting and Sculpture Museum, and PTT Stamp Museum—evaluating spatial integration, depth, and connectivity to interpret visitor circulation and spatial experience. The third chapter explores the work of architect Sırrı Bilen, highlighting his education, career, and significant contributions including the Bekir Bey House, regarded as the first modern residential building in Republican Turkey. It situates Bilen’s designs within the early Republican modern architectural movements, reflecting the socio-cultural transformation of the period. Overall, the book offers multidisciplinary insights into architectural heritage, urban spatial analysis, and the evolution of modern Turkish architecture during the early 20th century.
