Özet
Bu kitap, ebelikte kadını anlama perspektifine odaklanarak, kadına yönelik etkili iletişim yöntemleri, empati ve varoluşsal duyarlılık, ayrıca sevgi dili kavramlarını derinlemesine ele almaktadır. Birinci bölümde, Dünya Sağlık Örgütü tanımı çerçevesinde ebelik mesleğinin kadınla kurulan bağın önemi ve etkili iletişim yöntemleri incelenmiştir. Kadın merkezli iletişim ve şiddetsiz iletişim modeli ile anne adaylarının duygusal ihtiyaçlarına karşı duyarlılık gösterilmesi vurgulanmıştır. İkinci bölüm, ebelikte felsefi ve varoluşsal yaklaşımı benimseyerek, kadının doğum deneyiminin sadece fizyolojik değil, ruhsal ve zihinsel boyutlarını anlamanın gerekliliğine değinmektedir. Heidegger ve Merleau-Ponty gibi filozofların kavramları ile doğumun fenemonolojik anlamı ve empatinin ebelik pratiğindeki yeri tartışılmıştır. Üçüncü bölüm ise sevgi dilinin ebelikteki önemini vurgulayarak, sevginin biyolojik ve psikolojik temellerini açıklamakta, Dr. Gary Chapman'ın beş sevgi dili (onay sözleri, nitelikli beraberlik, hediye, hizmet davranışları, fiziksel temas) modelini tanıtmaktadır. Bu sevgi dillerinin perinatal bakımda nasıl uygulandığı ve anne adayının psikososyal iyiliğine katkısı ele alınmıştır. Kitap, sağlık profesyonellerinin iletişimde empati, duyarlılık ve sevgi odaklı yaklaşımlar geliştirmesinin kadın ve toplum sağlığına olumlu etkisi üzerinde durmakta, ebelik mesleğinde insan odaklı, bütüncül ve sanatsal bir yaklaşım önerilmektedir.
This book focuses on understanding women from the perspective of midwifery by thoroughly examining effective communication methods aimed at women, empathy and existential sensitivity, and the concept of love language. The first chapter explores the importance of the connection between the midwife and woman within the framework of WHO’s definition, highlighting woman-centered communication and the use of Nonviolent Communication model to address the emotional needs of pregnant women sensitively. The second chapter adopts a philosophical and existential approach in midwifery, emphasizing that childbirth experience is not merely physiological but also involves spiritual and mental dimensions. It draws on concepts from philosophers like Heidegger and Merleau-Ponty to discuss the phenomenological meaning of childbirth and the role of empathy in midwifery practice. The third chapter underlines the importance of love language in midwifery, explaining the biological and psychological foundations of love, and introduces Dr. Gary Chapman’s five love languages—words of affirmation, quality time, gifts, acts of service, and physical touch. It elaborates on how these love languages are applied in perinatal care to enhance mothers’ psychosocial well-being. The book advocates for empathy, sensitivity, and love-focused communication approaches by health professionals, emphasizing the positive impact on women’s health and societal welfare. It proposes a human-centered, holistic, and artistic approach in the midwifery profession.
