Özet
Tiyatro ve Mekân adlı bu kitap, tiyatrodaki mekân kavramını farklı perspektiflerden ele alarak kapsamlı bir inceleme sunmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, ekofeminizm çerçevesinde doğa ve kadının ataerkil baskı ve sömürü altında nasıl tahakküm altına alındığı tartışılarak, Salih Usta yönetimindeki On İkinci Ev oyununun mekânı simgeleyen kalın cam arkasından anlatılan kadın hikâyesi üzerinden bu temalar incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Gaston Bachelard’ın Uzamın Poetikası kitabındaki evin imgesi ve psikolojik etkileri ışığında Monologlar Müzesi “Aşk” oyunu, eski bir apartmanın odalarında geçen çok sesli kadın hikâyeleriyle evin bilinçaltı derinliklerini nasıl yansıttığı analiz edilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümse, tiyatroda mekânın dramaturjik işlevi ve seyirciyle oyuncu arasındaki ilişkiyi Michel Foucault’nun heterotopya kavramı ve Erika Fischer-Lichte’nin performatif estetik teorisiyle inceleyerek, Ahmet Sami Özbudak’ın yönettiği Monologlar Müzesi “Duo” oyunu özelinde mekânın seyirci deneyimini nasıl dönüştürdüğü tartışılmıştır. Kitap, tiyatronun mekânsal kullanımı aracılığıyla anlatının fiziksel ötesine geçip seyircinin algısını genişlettiğini; mekânın bir arka plan değil, anlatının eşsiz ve dinamik bir aktörü olduğunu göstermektedir. Tarihsel süreçten güncel performanslara kadar mekânın çok katmanlı rolü, çağdaş tiyatroda seyirci ve oyuncu arasındaki sınırların nasıl aşılabileceği konusunda önemli katkılar sunar.
The book "Theater and Space" offers a comprehensive examination of the concept of space in theater from various perspectives. In the first chapter, ecofeminism is discussed, analyzing how nature and women are subjected to patriarchal domination and exploitation, with the play "The Twelfth House" directed by Salih Usta exemplifying these themes through the story of a woman behind a thick glass symbolizing space. The second chapter explores Gaston Bachelard’s ideas in "The Poetics of Space," focusing on how the play "Museum of Monologues: Love," set in an old apartment’s rooms, reflects the psychological depths and subconscious of home through multi-voiced female stories. The third chapter investigates the dramaturgical role of space in theater and the relationship between spectator and actor by employing Michel Foucault’s concept of heterotopia and Erika Fischer-Lichte’s theory of performative aesthetics, with a special focus on Ahmet Sami Özbudak’s "Museum of Monologues: Duo." The book demonstrates that through the spatial usage in theater, the narrative transcends the physical background and extends the audience’s perception; space itself becomes a unique and dynamic actor in storytelling. From historical developments to contemporary performances, the multifaceted role of space provides significant insights regarding how boundaries between audience and actor can be transcended in modern theater.
